Community Manager

This is an exciting role for a community manager to engage and empower a large premium subscription base. In this role, you’ll own the day to day operation of our premium community.

London · Full-time

The Community Manager role at Finimize includes optimising the onboarding process, moderating group chats and coming up with member engagement strategies. It will be your mission to help our members succeed on their financial journeys to becoming smarter investors. 

You will work closely with our VP of Community and the Community team to define a consistent approach to managing our premium members. You will be joining a team that reports directly to the CEO. You do not need a background in finance or investing, you do need to care about empowering others to succeed.

Finimize is building the world’s largest and most engaged investing community. Today we empower more than 1 million subscribers to become smarter investors. Our community is made of casual investors. Typically they are smart, young and ambitious but don’t have a background in finance or investing so they love our jargon-free and accessible approach to the world of investing.

Please note, we’re remaining open to all levels of experience for this role and the salary offered will be competitive for the experience you bring to the role. Finimize HQ is typically based in London, currently all staff are working remotely so we’re open to remote workers for this role.

💪 Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day interactions with the community including onboarding, moderation and scheduling daily content to share with our members
  • Organise and run live events, workshops and group sessions (virtual and in-person)
  • Interact with our members to create high-quality user generated content that can be published across our newsletter and app
  • Be the internal voice for our members through strategic research and reporting which will help to shape the business roadmap and directly influence objectives
  • Elevate the voices of the community externally and internally to motivate and celebrate them on their journey to become smarter investors
  • Build a shared knowledge hub to bring together all of the learnings from community interactionsSalary range: £30-35,000 p/a + benefits

Some things we consider critical to being our Community Manager:

About you 

  • You’re a self-starter who likes to come up with new ideas and see them through to their implementation, taking ownership of the whole process
  • You love getting to know people, listening to them and finding ways to help them
  • You are curious about the power of community in other industries and are inspired to bring this into the world of investing
  • You are passionate about continuously pushing Finimize to stay at the forefront of community building and you want to develop your own brand in this space 

Required Experience 

  • You’ve helped create or manage a vibrant community yourself
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept and listening and gathering insights from conversations
  • A track record of developing member to member relationships

Bonus points (Not essential) 

  • Experience working with a paid subscription community
  • Experience with launching new platforms
  • Experienced public speaker both on social media and moderating live events
  • Experience working within a finance or investing organization
  • Experience with community platforms such as Notion, Bevy, Circle etc…
